Any recipes for sweet potatoe fries?

FRENCH - FRIED SWEET POTATOES





Sweet potatoes


Oil for frying


Salt or sugar to taste





Peel potatoes; cut into thin strips. Fry in hot oil until crisp and brown outside and tender on inside. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. Serve plain or sprinkled with salt or sugar.Any recipes for sweet potatoe fries?
Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries


INGREDIENTS


6 sweet potatoes, cut into French fries


2 tablespoons canola oil


3 tablespoons taco seasoning mix


1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


DIRECTIONS


Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).


In a plastic bag, combine the sweet potatoes, canola oil, taco seasoning, and cayenne pepper. Close and shake the bag until the fries are evenly coated. Spread the fries out in a single layer on two large baking sheets.


Bake for 30 minutes, or until crispy and brown on one side. Turn the fries over using a spatula, and cook for another 30 minutes, or until they are all crispy on the outside and tender inside. Thinner fries may not take as long.


4 servings.

I'm curious too. I've tried to make sweet potato fries like you would regular potato fries, and it doesn't work.
Sweet Potato Sticks





INGREDIENTS:


Dip


2/3 cup mayonnaise


1/3 cup sour cream


2 to 3 teaspoons curry powder


1 teaspoon ground ginger


1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder


1/2 teaspoon chili powder


1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika


1/4 teaspoon salt

Sweet Potato Sticks


3 medium sweet potatoes, about 1 1/2 pounds


oil for deep frying


salt


freshly ground black pepper


PREPARATION:


Make the dip: In a small bowl, Combine the mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir in the curry powder, ginger, turmeric, chili powder, paprika, and salt. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.





This can be made a day in advance.





Using a large sharp knife or mandoline, cut sweet potatoes into strips 3 inches long and about 1/4-inch thick. Pat dry with paper towels.





In a deep medium saucepan, heat the oil over high heat to about 370掳. Deep-fry the sweet potato sticks in batches until golden brown, about 4 minutes. With slotted spoon or basket, transfer the sweet potato sticks to a paper towel-lined baking sheet. Keep the sticks warm in warming drawer or oven while frying the remaining sweet potato sticks. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Serve warm with the curry dip, a remoulade sauce, or other dip.
I make them all the time all I do is peel them and cut them into steak frie slices then I put some oil salt and pepper on them and bake them for about 45 minutes turning once they come out really good. I think you need to put allot of pepper on them and do not cut them to thin either. Hope this helps
Sweet Potato Fry's with Basil Salt





Potatoes


Toss potatoes (cut steak fry size and leave peel on) with olive oli use plenty to coat sprinkle with a little bit of salt. Place in an even layer on a sheet pan and bake on 425' for 45' to an hour until crunchy and caramelized.





Basil Salt





Take a couple tablespoons of sea salt and mix with 1 clove finely chopped garlic and 1/4 cup chopped basil.





Sprinkle on cooked potatoes any leftover salt can be refrigerated.
