What does ' All purpose flour' mean in Baking recipes?

Used for all purposes! :)What does ' All purpose flour' mean in Baking recipes?
It means that the flour doesn't have any kind of additives in it. Also when your recipe calls for the ';all purpose'; flour you will need to add baking soda or baking powder. The other flour is called ';self rising';. It has the baking powder and salt already added. It's only a shortcut if you're lazy like me and don't want to measure the salt and baking powder. Lol!!!!What does ' All purpose flour' mean in Baking recipes?
Yes all flour comes from wheat.there are several different types of flour. The All purpose means it does not have any baking powders or salt in it.Self rising has the baking powders and salt added...
normal plain flour is usually known as all purpose because u can make it into any other type of flour
